IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR A LIBRARY TO BE WELCOMING AND OPEN TO EVERYONE WITHOUT RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR
In the UP University Library, we are noticing an increased number of cases of non-compliance with the Rules on the General Terms and Conditions of the University of Primorska University Library and several violations of the Restriction on the Use of Tobacco Products and Related Products Act – ZOUTPI.
In order to maintain a pleasant, peaceful, inclusive and safe environment for everyone in the library, we kindly ask you to respect the library rules and to consider in particular:
- Prohibition of eating food in the Prešeren, Trubar and Vega halls and in the group work area. Only non-alcoholic beverages in sealed packaging are allowed, which excludes hot drinks from the vending machine (Article 47 of the Rules on the General Terms and Conditions of the UP UK).
- Prohibition of playing games on UP UK computers. Computer workstations in the UP UK are intended exclusively for study, research, artistic and professional purposes (Article 45 of the Rules on the General Terms and Conditions of the UP UK).
- Prohibition of smoking and/or the use of tobacco, tobacco products and related products in the immediate vicinity of the library (2nd paragraph of Article 39 Restriction on the Use of Tobacco Products and Related Products Act – ZOUTPI (Ban on smoking)).
In the event of further violations, we will be forced to take action in accordance with Article 52 of the Rules on the General Terms and Conditions of the University of Primorska University Library, where sanctions also include temporary or permanent ban from the use of ALL library services.
Let us contribute together to preserving the library as a place of knowledge, research and mutual respect.
Thank you for your understanding and responsible use of the services of the UP University Library.
