University of Primorska University Library organises its own cycle of events:

• Lectures in the OSUP series – Open Science at the University of Primorska are organised as part of the project SPOZNAJ (Support for the Implementation of Open Science Principles in Slovenia) and within the framework of the Action Plan for the Open Science (Objective 6.2 ReZrIS30). Past lectures can be viewed on the UP University Library’s YouTube channel.
• FilmUP events are organised up to four times a year, outside of exam periods. They are intended for students and employees of UP, who are united by a love of film art and an interest in in-depth conversations about complex and often taboo topics presented in the film industry.
• Event Long Night Against Procastination at UP UK is organised in the spring and is intended to provide support to students in their scientific and research beginnings. The event is designed on the widely recognised concept Long Night Against Procastination, which higher education institutions around the world usually organise every year in March.

The UP University Library also co-organises other events of the University of Primorska members and centers.
