Reading Rooms
University of Primorska University Library reading rooms are intended primarily for the study, research, educational and artistic work of library members, as well as for events organised by the library. Their primary purpose is to support educational, scientific research, and artistic work at the University of Primorska.
Each reading room has its own specific purpose, providing conditions for different ways of working.
Central Unit University Library
- Prešeren Hall is intended for day and night review of library materials.
- Trubar Hall is intended for quiet communication between users that does not disturb others.
- Vega Hall is a space for completely silent study, where loud communication is not allowed.
- Valvasor Room is intended for collaborative work with permitted communication.
Dislocated Unit Library UP FTŠ – Turistica
- Main area with reading spots is for quiet communication between users without disturbing others.
- Reading room for group work is intended for collaborative work with permitted communication.
Rules for using reading rooms:
- Eating is strictly prohibited in the reading rooms.
- It is not permitted to reserve places by depositing personal items – library staff will remove such items.
- Access to the reading rooms is generally conditional on UP UK membership, except during events when they are open to the general public.
- Users must respect the rules of conduct, work quietly and not disturb others.
- In the event of a fire alarm or other emergency, users are required to leave the premises quickly and quietly and follow the instructions of the security service.
When visiting UP UK and using the reading rooms, the user is obliged to adhere to the rules in General Terms and Conditions of University of Primorska University Library
