WEBINAR: EGEOLOGIJA – GEOLOGICAL DATA INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE GEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF SLOVENIA

On Thursday, 16 May 2024, from 10.30 to 12.00 you are invited to the webinar eGeologija – Geological data infrastructure of the Geological Survey of Slovenia that will be organised within the project SPOZNAJ (Support for the Implementation of Open Science Principles in Slovenia). GeoZS follows the principles of accessibility of geological data and services in one place. Web portal eGeologija (egeologija.si) provides fast public access to a wide range of high-quality geological data through the use of modern e-services. This is enabled by the existing geological data GeoZS that covers both technical standards and protocols as well as organisational and data policy issues, including a data management plan. GeoZS follows global technological guidelines and constantly improves and upgrades the information infrastructure, applications, services and, above all, knowledge. It follows the INSPIRE Directive and the FAIR principles.

Lecturer will be Jasna Šinigoj, head of the Geological Information Centre GeoZS.
