»We are announcing a contemplative walk to reflect on the sacred marriage between imagination and the reality of an ancient Mediterranean island town, as first revealed in the artist’s childhood drawings and later in his poetry.

This time, we will be guided around Koper by Jure Vuga – a poet, art historian and sociologist of culture, who knows the town not only as a local, but also as a tourist guide.

This is how he himself summarised the itinerary of the walk that awaits us on Sunday 18 February 2024: »We will start at 10.00 in the Museum Square, walk to the Koper Regional Museum (we will not enter), continue to the Cathedral Square and the Baptistery, enter the Cathedral, walk around the Brolo Square, continue to the Collegio Dei Nobili (the Italian General Upper Secondary School), and from there to the Verzi Portal – where we can conclude our walk or descend to the Prešeren Square and the Muda Gate«.
