FESTUM: OPEN EDUCATION FESTIVAL

On Tuesday, 24 October 2023, and Wednesday, 25 October 2023, you are invited to FestUM, the Science Festival of the University of Maribor, which is being presented to the public for the first time in this form with the subtitle Open Education Festival. The festival will take place in the premises of the University of Maribor Library (Gospejna ulica 10, 2000 Maribor), and it will also be broadcast online.

This year, the two-day event focuses on content from the field of open education, learning and research, which connect and strengthen the flow of knowledge and data between the academic sphere and the general public, or individuals who, regardless of their formal education, want to participate in research. All this with the aim of establishing greater coherence and synergy between interdisciplinary scientific fields and between the academic and economic/non-economic spheres and the general public for the benefit of wider society.

The festival will be organized within the project Z odprtim dostom do vseživljenjskega izobraževanja ODVIJ which is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
