INVITATION TO A LITERARY EVENING

On Thursday, 19 October 2023, at 19.00, we invite you to a literary evening, which will take place in the premises of the UP University Library (Trubarjeva 1, 6000 Koper). Marcello Potocco will present his latest poetry collection called Odisej(ka) v labirintu. The conversation will be moderated in Slovenian by Barbara Jaruša Potocco.

Marcello Potocco is a poet, literary researcher and university professor. He graduated and received his doctorate in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, and now teaches at the Faculty of Humanities in Koper.

He has so far published six poetry collections. He was nominated for the Veronika Award in 2008 for the collection Popravki pesniške zbirke, and for the Jenko Award in 2012 for the collection Via Francigena. He participated in literary festivals at home and abroad, and his poems have been translated into many foreign languages, including in an anthology of Slovenian poetry in Hebrew and Czech. Recently, he has also been featured in bilingual editions of Contemporary Slovene Poetry in Italian and German.
