VOUCHERS FOR PUBLISHING IN OPEN ACCESS IN HYBRID JOURNALS FROM ELSEVIER IN 2024

The license agreement with Elsevier for the year 2024 enables corresponding authors from members of the Slovenian consortium to publish 505 articles free of charge (vouchers without APC – Article Processing Charge) in open access in approx. 1.660 hybrid journals from the publisher Elsevier.

General Terms and Conditions:

• vouchers can be used for articles accepted for publication in 2024,
• to be eligible for the University of Primorska voucher, the corresponding author must be from the University of Primorska and must provide the correct institutional details,
• the author must identify himself with the official email address of the University of Primorska,
• the author selects the open access option within the consortium in the publisher’s system after the article has been accepted for publication.

The list of eligible hybrid journals may change from time to time, so authors are recommended to always check the eligibility of using voucher on the website Find a participating journal.

Vouchers are valid for the following types of publications in the publisher’s hybrid journals: Case reports, Data in Briefs, Full-length articles, Micro-articles, Original software publication, Practice guidelines, Protocols, Review articles, Replication studies, Short communications, Short surveys and Video articles. Benefits do not apply for publication in Cell Press, The Lancet and journals of certain partner publishers or associations.

The affiliation of corresponding authors to the consortium institutions is confirmed by the contact persons in the institutions’ libraries (for the University of Primorska the contact persons are jonatan.vinkler(at)upr.si and janja.jutersek(at)upr.si).
