WEBINAR: HOW CAN I USE A SUPERCOMPUTER?

On Thursday, 25 January 2024, from 10.30 to 12.00 you are invited to the webinar How can I use a supercomputer? (Kako lahko uporabim superračunalnik?) that will be organised within the project SPOZNAJ (Support for the Implementation of Open Science Principles in Slovenia). The presentation will be held in Slovenian. Subtitles in Slovenian and English will be provided after the webinar, which will be available for later viewing on the Arnes Video platform >>

In the webinar, you will learn about general reasons for using a supercomputer, the possibilities available to researchers to acquire the skils to use it, and the possibilities for obtaining access to supercomputers at IZUM will be presented. In addition to presenting the supercomputers in Slovenia and Europe, concepts of supercomputer operation and simple examples of the process of working with a supercomputer will be discussed. You will also learn more about the most interesting projects that were carried out with the help of HPC Vega, the most powerful supercomputer in Slovenia.

Lecturer will be Dejan Valh (IZUM).
