WEBINAR: TOWARDS INTEGRATED RESEARCH SUPPORT SERVICES IN THE ERA OF OPEN SCIENCE
On Thursday, 13 June 2024, from 10.30 to 12.00 you are invited to the webinar Towards Integrated Research Support Services in the Era of Open Science that will be organised within the project SPOZNAJ (Support for the Implementation of Open Science Principles in Slovenia). The presentation will be held in Slovenian. Subtitles in Slovenian and English will be provided after the webinar, which will be available for later viewing on the Arnes Video platform >>
Academic institutions have rapidly evolved their services in the last decade in response to an increasingly complex research landscape in the era of open science. Research data management, open publishing, and research impact services are the current focus of support, yet the full scope is much more versatile. This presentation aims to give an up-to-date view of the extent of research support services at university libraries in the Netherlands. This includes growth of established research support areas as well as emerging research support in the areas of digital data and AI technologies. This presentation does not aim to recommend the ‘one size fits all’ approach to organizing research services, but rather sketches the split between centralized and decentralized service models.
Lecturer will be dr. Alenka Prinčič from the Leiden University Library.
