Open4UA: Building Ukraine’s Open Science and Responsible Research Assessment Ecosystem

OPEN4UA: BUILDING UKRAINE’S OPEN SCIENCE AND RESPONSIBLE RESEARCH ASSESSMENT ECOSYSTEM

On Thursday, 26 February 2026, from 10.30 to 12.00 you are invited to the webinar Building Ukraine’s Open Science and Responsible Research Assessment Ecosystem that will be organised within the project SPOZNAJ (Support for the Implementation of Open Science Principles in Slovenia). The presentation will be held in English.

Lecturers will be dr. Oleksandr Berezko, Associate Professor at Lviv National Polytechnic University and project coordinator, and a project collaborator from the University of Ljubljana.

The Open4UA project (Erasmus+ CBHE) drives the integration of Open Science and responsible research assessment into Ukraine’s wartime recovery. Key achievements include a draft Law anchoring national policy, an institutional toolkit, and evidence-based recommendations derived from EU best practices. By aligning state certification and funding evaluations with CoARA and DORA principles, the project is currently transforming the 2025-26 framework for over 500 institutions. These reforms foster transparency and integrity, building international trust and accelerating Ukraine’s integration into the European Research Area.
