PANEL DISCUSSION: PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA IN RESEARCH

On Thursday, 7 May 2026, from 13:00 to 15:30, as part of the project SPOZNAJ (Support for the Implementation of Open Science Principles in Slovenia) a panel discussion on the Processing of Personal Data in Research will take place in Chamber Hall at the Rector’s Office of the University of Ljubljana (Kongresni trg 12) and via Zoom. The presentation will be held in Slovenian.

  • Legal regulation of the processing of personal data in research and the development of informed consent, Rosana Lemut Strle (Law firm Lemut Strle o.p., d.o.o.),
  • Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) in a research project – lessons from practice, prof. dr. Gregor Jurak (UL FŠ),
  • DPIA and artificial intelligence in research involving personal data, mag. Andrej Tomšič (Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia),
  • The role of the University Ethics Committee in research involving human subjects, Prof. Dr. Andrej Košir (UL FE),
  • Discussion and conclusion, Silvija Fanžol (UL).
