Round Table on European Melanoma Day: For Sport Without Skin Cancer

ROUND TABLE ON EUROPEAN MELANOMA DAY: FOR SPORT WITHOUT SKIN CANCER

On Wednesday, 13 May 2026, between 10:00 and 14:00, a round table on the European Melanoma Day For Sport Without Skin Cancer will be held at the UP University Library (Trubarjeva 1, Koper). The event will be held in Slovenian.

The topic of the discussion will cover the impact of the sun on skin health in the context of sport and the importance of timely prevention. Speakers will highlight key challenges, good practices and recommendations for safe sports activities, with the aim of reducing the incidence of skin cancer and increasing public awareness.

The event is co-organised by the National Melanoma Patients’ Society, Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Primorska and the the University of Primorska University Library.
