EUROPEAN COMMISSION CALLS FOR PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON THE COPYRIGHT IN THE DIGITAL SINGLE MARKET DIRECTIVE

The European Commission has published a call for public consultation on the Copyright in the Digital Single Market Directive and the preparation of possible new legislative measures to adapt European copyright law to technological change and the development of artificial intelligence. Among others, they highlight issues related to research work, open science and secondary publishing.

The call for evidence is open until 25 June 2026.
